Kentucky fried chicken is also known as KFC is an American fast food chain which specializes in selling fried chicken to the customers. It has its headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky and is the second largest restraint chain in the world as measured according to the sales with more than 20000 thousand locations all around the world in 123 countries.
According to a report, KFC is all set to launch a new and healthier menu by the year 2020. It has also vowed to cut the calories in their present menu by the year 2020 by almost 20 percent. The second largest fast food chain in the world has vowed to change and modify its menu and reduce or completely remove almost 20 percent of the calories per serving maximum by the year 2025.
KFC Meal & Snack Menu:
The fast-food chain firm which is popular all over the world for its zinger burger and bargain buckets have decided on offering their customers the healthy sides rather than the fries for free. They have also considered offering only zero or low calories carbonated drinks to the customers. They are also out for introducing a vegetarian option which could be introduced later this year. However, it in no way is going to challenge or change the secret recipe of the colonel which consists of 11 herbs and spices.
The firm has decided to add more lunch and dinner options for the customers by the year 2020 which would be available under 600 calories in line with the recent campaign for the public health. The firm wants to encourage people to aim for consuming 400 calories in breakfast, 600 calories in lunch and 600 calories in dinner accompanied by some healthier snack and drinks in between those meals.

KFC has realized that people in the recent years have become very passionate about eating well and having a healthy diet and they will have to face a big challenge in changing their perceptions of the food that they offer. They should realize and recognize the need for keeping their new and healthy menu as tasty as it has been before the change. The regular customers of KFC love their original recipes of chicken and it would be challenging for the firm to bring in a new and healthy diet which would please the customer as much.

They have to be more careful with their advertisement campaigns as well. Recently an advertisement for KFC got banned on the ground that it was targeting children with its marketing campaigns. It was said that the ads must not be directed at children. Later KFC said that the ad was placed mistakenly within 100 meters of the school, apologized and said the ad’s location didn’t mean that children under the age group of 16 made for more than 25 percent of the ad; while blaming the human error.
